Every morning we wake up, eat breakfast, and put on our best outfits: a layer of wool, handmade socks, our most suitable pants, and a jacket that carries the scars from all the days before. We grab a pair of gloves, tie our boots, and prepare for our daily walk down the runway. Hundreds of eager and curious eyes watch us as we walk our walk, wondering what we will entertain them with next.
This is our life. This is the dog yard.
Since 1986 our family has been training for the toughest races in the world: living and working in an environment where energy is intertwined between us and our dogs. Our passion and family legacy has led us to live in the high north and commit to our craft with all our being. It is a world that few know about, and even less understand.
To travel across the Arctic tundra by the most ambitious dogs is an experience that taps into our primal instincts. Their ears flop with every step of their paws. Their tongues bounce in unanimity, much like a choreographed group dance. Their will to run, and to stop at nothing. Like the rush of the Alta River, the instinct of these dogs is to run like water: continually, consistently, and with a force that is only created by nature’s engine. We want to show you nature on steroids and give you the chance to tap into a version of yourself that moves as one with your eyes wide open. This is an escape into the wild and a pause from society.
