"The plateau"

Perfect trip from start to finish. The staff couldn’t have been any more helpful, engaging or knowledgable. The facilities are second to none, and the rooms are better than the photos. Then comes the tour itself, totally magical, we got involved in everything, feeding, harnessing and attaching dogs to the line which made the trip even better. Felt safe and exhilarated all at the same time. Stayed in three overnight lodges on the plateau, all warm and cosy with sauna. Take your sauna gear they provide towels. I could go on for days about this trip and still wouldn’t be able to describe how good this tour was so book it yourself and see. One tip, use their boots and gloves and take lots of thermal socks. By the way we travel a lot and know when the bar has been raised.

“Never to be forgotten.”

We booked this experience through Fred Olsen during a cruise to the Norwegian Arctic and are so very glad we did. To ride on a sledge behind a team of huskies was fantastic beyond belief and the staff were enthusiastic, friendly and informative. The tour included a most interesting talk on the dogs in which we learned of their origins and characteristics together with details of their care and well being. It was also possible to meet the animals face to face and found them to be very approachable and friendly. Well worth a visit. During our ride I was able to take a number of videos shots with my camcorder which have been edited into a 10 minute souvenir.
