Truly exhilarating and wondrous

To tell the truth I'm not really a cold weather person but this 2 night trip dog sledding and a night in the ice hotel was incredible. Once in a lifetime stuff. Incredible white vistas. Sleeping on reindeer skins. Watching Northern lights from the hot tub. It was unique and amazing. I would advise bring T total in Norway however. The most expensive wine I've ever come across.

Glamping In style

We stayed here one night in early March as part of the Holmen Husky/Sorrisniva package. So we got two dog sled runs, a night in one of the Tipi’s At Holmen, and a night at Sorrisniva, and all meals covered throughout that time. It was truly the best holiday experience of our lives and I can not recommend this package highly enough. The accommodation at Holmen Husky lodge is amazing. A beautifully cozy Tipi, with a wood burning fire and comfy bed. Bathroom & Lounge/Kitchen facilities are a short walk from your room, and the scenery on that walk is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before.Staff are all incredibly friendly and chatty.

One of the best experiences in Norway

We did the Arctic Adventure tour which included both a night stay at Holmen Husky and a night at Sorrisniva. We would highly recommend doing this package! You get one sled outing at night when you arrive and also an outing in the morning, which was the highlight of our trip! They picked us up on time in a comfortable van. When we arrived, we brought our luggage in and immediately started putting on exposure suits, the excited huskies were waiting for us and eager to run! There were some brief pointers about how to brake with the sled, but it was a bit stressful to arrive in the dark and then drive the sled amidst all of the barking and activity. We had one runaway sled as it was difficult to start correctly, but once we got going, it was very nice. Headlamps were provided but there was more ambient light than you would expect. You sled in pairs and switch halfway through. After returning, you warm up in a Laavu with coffee or tea, and are given a tour of the dog yard, before being shown to your tipi. Dinner is served in the main cabin. The accommodations were all very comfortable. You will use a shared shower house in the bathroom area and there is a single toilet for each gender. Hot tub access is available upon request and for an up-charge. The beds in the tipis were comfortable and the wood burning stove was not difficult to start or use. You can hear the pups howling and yipping from the tipis when they get excited. The highlight was our morning ride with guide Chloe, who was so nice. We really enjoyed the ride. Our dogs were much calmer than the previous evening and we even saw a moose! It was so peaceful and beautiful. After both of the rides, you have the opportunity to walk around and pet and see the dogs. All are very friendly and happy to get attention. The huskies are a little bit stinky but very very sweet. We already want to go back!
